Overview
Like Earth 2, After Earth (AE) has opened up (almost) the entire world in 10x10 meter tiles for purchase. Unlike E2, you can still find great plots available in some of the busiest and most sought after locations on the planet.
But the team has now announced a set of developments that potentially take AE to a whole new level. The new world of AE is one that connects ‘centralized and decentralized worlds.’ According to the team, everything is set to be underpinned by AE$. This is the new Defi (decentralized finance) currency that will power AfterEarth.io. The first drop of AE$ lands on the 22nd of August 2021. In addition, the team are promising that all new land purchases will become digital images in the form of NFTs, which is exciting for current and future landowners, if the promise can be delivered.
AE hopes to reward activity on the site (and in the game) with AE$, which decouples the platform from the purchase of property as the main driver of increase in value. This is risky, but exciting, and a development we will be watching very closely indeed.
With an enticing and promising Beta version on the site, and a partnership announced with Polygon for smart contracts, there’s lots to be excited about. But caution: there’s also a lot of work left to do to turn AE’s dreams into reality.

After Earth grew quickly out of the starting blocks as some frustrated users from Earth 2 looked at other platforms to spread their Metaverse property portfolio. However, After Earth has been static for a few months with users promised a 'big' update by the dev team, to help take AE "to the moon".
ENTRY PRICE
$0.05 per tile
New land in After Earth is among the cheapest across the Metaverse space, with tiles starting at just $0.05. This is the base price when a new country is opened for purchase. In highly sought-after areas such as major cities, this can quickly increase up to $1 or more per tile.
USABILITY
Easy
After Earth is a Play-to-Earn Metaverse in which users can purchase digital land, mint NFTs and trade up in value via AERO - the AE token. However, little knowledge of these is required to get started and the platform itself is very user-friendly.

After Earth continues to periodically release countries for land purchasing and tile trading. In their latest update AE introduce the ability to mint NFT's from the properties owned, along with their in-game currency.

Following the release of 15 countries during the first fews months since AE's launch, game-play has been somewhat on hold while the team work towards After Earth's 3.0 platform.
